Recent direct detections of gravitational waves provide
first in history observations of strong-field dynamics of spacetime.
A suite of tests of general relativity can be performed with these
observations: the inspiral-merger-ringdown dynamics
of binary black hole coalescences, and concerning the propagation of
gravitational waves. I will talk about the current
status of such tests and the outlook for the future.
